Peg Higgins is a former art teacher who often attributes her ability to succeed on the fact that she taught eighth grade and lived to tell about it. Her teaching stints include time in Paducah, Kentucky and Springfield, Illinois. She claims two towns (Paducah and St. Charles, Illinois) as home, for she lived in Paducah until fourth grade and returned there for her senior year. Usually, it is a hard conversion to switch to a new school in your last year, but Peg loves to meet new people and be part of a team, so she made the transistion easily. You’ll see that same personality trait today as Peg works with you to make your apparel and product choices. She is a good listener and wants to make sure that your needs are met with the imprint solutions she offers. Peg has a little Southern charm mixed with a wicked sense of humor and a whole set of catch phrases that will keep you laughing the rest of the day.
Peg was the manager of the Frame Factory in Chesterfield for five years. She considers that job the best one she ever had. She worked for a savvy trio of women that really knew how to run a business. She loved the interaction with the customers as they worked on do-it-yourself framing projects. That position, much like the one she holds now, used all her best skills. She has a keen eye for color and design, a love of business systems that make production run smoothly, and the ability to make acquaintances feel like family within minutes. Peg takes care of the sales department and screen-printing production.
Diane Hawn is also a former school teacher, but most of her career has been spent in the business sector. Diane spent many years in the appliance industry as a Home Economist teaching microwave cooking techniques and promoting microwave ovens back when they were first on the market in the “80s. When she came to the St. Louis area thirteen years ago, she worked for May Credit Center, the credit card collection division for Famous Barr. Her last position with the company was as a supervisor of collectors for Marshall Fields. After losing her position in the Macy’s buyout, Diane went to school to pick up Microsoft Office certifications and wanted to get more practical experience with the software programs. She handles most of the graphics questions and production for Get Promoted. Diane is a bookworm that goes through reading material at an alarming rate. All that reading means she knows a lot of useless trivia that ends up being part of any conversation. She loves to talk about marketing techniques that are prevalent now and can usually give you two or three articles or gurus that you need to know. Diane bends over backwards to make sure that you get superior customer service from Get Promoted.
She is an avid bridge player. She is in the foreground, on the left. Diane’s Mom, is in the background, on the right. Both of them are opening Christmas presents in the picture.
