The staff of Get Promoted LLC is GOING TO JAIL FOR GOOD!!
Peg and Diane will be arrested on Thursday, August 26th and transported by limo to Ameristar Casino where they will be fingerprinted and take mug shots along with many other community leaders. The reason for the arrest is good. The girls are raising fund for the local MDA Lock-UP.
$2010.00 is the goal for them to raise. It will take a miracle to do that. You are part of that miracle. Plesae give today. We are giving Pizza Street coupons for any contribution over $13.00. That entitles you to 10 FREE Buffets between now and Christmas and is worth @49.50.
The girls are tentatively combining with a couple more jailbirds to put on a community Pancake Breakfast the morning of the their arrest. You are invited and all your friends! If you know you are coming, let us know so we will have enough food. We will start serving about 9:30 until noon when we get picked up. There will be business networking friends, the community neighbors that meet for Neighborhood Watch, First Christian church members, Episcopal church members…and even a few Presbyterians! Come enjoy the party!
The 40 diseases that fall under the heading of Muscular Dystrophy affect over 2000 families in the St. Louis metro area. The funds we raise will help to provide support groups for these families and free clinics for medical services. Funds will also cover research that is happening at Wash U, one of only 5 Centers of Excellence for Duchenne Musular Disease in the world. The monies also cover costs for local kids to attend camp at Babler State Park. It takes about 800.00 to send one child.

Local Labyrinth is a Labor of Love for Get Promoted Staff

Peg and Diane from Get Promoted were familiar with the calming and spiritual effects of labyrinths. Now they are finding a different kind of joy by adopting and tending a beautiful labyrinth in their neighborhood.
“We need to take walks for our health,”explained Peg Higgins. “The labyrinth behind the Trinity Episcopal church was just close enough to be an easy walk, but more interesting than just a spin around on the street. Here you could find a place to meditate…it was quiet and nature was all around you.”
Last fall, the labyrinth was falling into disrepair and it was hard to walk the path. Peg asked the rector, Tamsen Whistler, is we could do some lawn care around it. She readily agreed and even came out a couple days to help us locate parts of the path that were over grown. Peg spent many a day with the edger and weed wacker. Today, the bricks of the labyrinth are easy to see. The pastor says she has noticed more people using it.

We can take pictures by mail or in person. They can be scanned and returned to you. The best results come from transferring the pictures to us electronically. We can do some touchup work on them and resize them easily.
Sublimation can not be done on navy and black. Photo gifts should be done on white or grey for best results. The ink is rather transparent and whatever color is on the shirt becomes part of the design. If you are using text, you are less limited.
This year, we have two new kinds of shirts:
Insect repellent shirts from Zorrel. This picture shows a jacquard training tee in safety green. It is also available in navy, white, and black. Polos are also available in the insect repellent shirt. T-shirts come in several colors, but can not be sublimated.
Mosquitos and other pest will not light and bite!
Another shirt that is catching some attention is the all over sublimation t-shirts. Imagine that the whole shirt is your palette. Great for special events, business marketing, and sports teams.

Contact us for info on these two new items. Both are capable of dye sublimation printing. A sublimation transfer is usually done on 100% poplyester for the best quality. If you get a sublimation print done on cotton, you will lose color quickly. The sublimation dye is extremely durable and will keep a rich color for many, many washings. We always say that the shirt will wear out before the colors lose their vibrancy under normal washing conditions.

Custom Cd Holders for Your Own Coaching Programs

Coaches and teachers often produce their own instructional CDs. Here is a table to show the cost differences and types of cases that are available on the market for custom imprinting your CD case with your logo. You can see that if you know in the future that you will be offering more classes, that it might be a good investment to purchase imprinted cases all at once. By the same token, custom cases can be done in our workshop one at a time. Take your pick! Other styles and many colors are available. This table was developed to help you understand the decorating choices and quantity price cuts. One of my favorite companies to purchase CD cases is Nissin. They have a wide variety and reasonable quantities of 60 – 100 holders. Set up charge for any item is 50.00 to imprint. Screen printing and embroidery are available. There are alternative decorating methods: digital transfers, sublimation, or vinyl. We would be glad to consult with you on decoration pros and cons.
