Bring Birdieball into Your Schools and Youth Programs

Golf can be a difficult game to learn, particularly for kids. In a lot of sports, modified equipment is used to help kids learn in a positive and enjoyable way. Unfortunately this often is not the case with golf; the first experience a kid usually has is with a full-size, heavy adult club in a attempt to hit a golf ball right off the ground, and we all know that hitting that golf ball is still hard after years of trying, so what hope has the kid got?
It is crucial that young players use appropriate equipment and today thankfully there are plenty of junior specific clubs available. But having correctly fitted clubs still doesn’t address the difficulty of hitting a normal golf ball, getting it airborne, and receiving meaningful and enjoyable feedback from the experience. Enter the BirdieBall …
With a slightly higher center of gravity, the BirdieBall is easier to hit into the air than a normal golf ball, so is very rewarding for beginning golfers. When used in conjunction with the StrikePad, the effect is even more pronounced and the junior just starting out will have a very enjoyable and meaningful introduction to the game of golf and the golf swing.
The other great benefit of BirdieBall is its limited flight of about 35-40yards This means that school golf is a real possiblity and junior golf clinics can be conducted in local parks. BirdieBall is safe and enjoyable way to learn about and improve at golf.
School golf programs are now available for every school from primary through to secondary. With the BirdieBall, you can safely conduct meaningful golf lessons for your students on the oval, soccer pitch, tennis courts, and even indoors.
Choose One of These Three National Birdieball Sets. This is for Schools and Youth Programs Only. Click the highlighted area for a printable price sheet. You will need to hit the BACK button, otherwise, you will leave the website.
Accessories that can be packaged with the Birdieball can make this an ideal backyard game. With each set, an instruction booklet is issued with many creative ways to use the equipment. Get Promoted has additional game information available on their website.
Strikepad: Allows a lift to the Birdieball that allows a divot to be taken behind the ball, has a golf head fac on the mat to show proper club alignment during the swing, enables player to use the equipment on hard surfaces like parking lots and streets.
Portable Targets: Collapsible targets can simulate golf holes and add a game element. The portability, again, makes golf an activity for your backyard, the school yard, the neighborhood park, or the city street
A three or six hole set can fit into one duffel bag for easy storage. An entire nine hole golf course can fit in a duffel with rollers for ease in use.
Velocity tees can be used to improve your golf swing when using woods. Tee Markers are used during a game for placement. Tape measures can be used for competitive game and skill improvement. Nets can be used for target practice with the balls.
For added entertainment, a giant inflatable ball target can be used. Kids really enjoy the added entertainment value of the giant target. Inventor John Breaker did a YMCA teaching event and said that the target was a definite piece to keeping the kids involved and eager to play. Rental right now is $200.00 for your event. Purchase for $1299.00.
Get Promoted is very willing to help you fund raise for the Birdieball Sets, so if you need to use the Giant Inflatable to help you raise the money, we will work with you to facilitate that.
We love Birdieball. We think it can bring a lot to a child. We like the idea of families playing together and think this little white “napkin ring” can make that happen. We love the idea of playing Birdieball in the subdivision with a hole in every yard. We like the creativity of street golf and making it up as you go….
Birdieball anytime, anywhere, any age, any ability…

These comments came from Gollfblogger.com:
I bought a Birdie Ball the other day at a local golf shop for $3.95. It is a small plastic tube with beveled edges. You set it up with the open ends facing the ground and the sky. Then you hit it like a normal golf ball. The thing tumbles end over end with a reverse spin, just like a golf ball, has a nice arcing flight and lands a short distance away. I hit it with a sand wedge a few times and it flew the width of my back yard. The manufacturer claims that the maximum flight is about 40 yards.
Even better: you can fade and draw (or hook and slice) this thing just like a regular ball. My son says that it makes different sounds depending upon which way you hit it. (I’m quite deaf, so I’ll have to take his word for it).
All in all, a first rate product. Much better than those plastic balls because it actually feels like you are hitting a real ball.
I just got some birdieballs for Father’s Day, and I love them. I’ve got just enough room in my back yard to use them, and I also go to an athletic field at a nearby school, which has more room.
They feel like you’re hitting a real ball. Only downside is you can’t drive without a special tee (looks like a foam wedge, I’m going to try to dummy up my own), and you need short grass. I bought two regular astroturf doormats at a store. I stand on one and hit off the other.
I love these things. Lots of fun, great feedback.

Wow,
Birdieballs are way cool!. They respond like golf balls, but you don’t have to chase them. The birdieballs I have have 4 different colors but so we can tell who’s ball is whose when we are playing a birdieball course through the park. The birdietargets set up quick and the little backstop knocks the ball down, so you can actually finish a hole by chipping the birdieball into to backstop.
They are durable. No breakage, even when we drove over it.
The strikepad hitting mat also shows how you should swing the club.
Great product! Simply brilliant

I was googling and saw this strange looking thing called the BirdieBall. At first I thought it was crazy, but then I watched the videos on the birdieball website. Wow, I had to have some.
I also read the other blogs on this website, which convinced me to buy the product and give the birdie ball a test run. I only bought one sleeve, but it was the glow in the dark version. They worked way better than I had hoped and we started hitting them back and forth to each other. When evening came, we just kept going, we cracked the glow sticks and put them into the BirdieBall for an amazing night game of catch. The birdieballs look like meteorites flying down from the heavens. What an awesome experience. I went to their website and am pasting in how they describe it. “BirdieBall® by Birdie Ball Inc. is the best golf training aid invented this century! That’s a bold statement, but golf coaches and PGA golf instructors around the world agree, and have voted it the PGA, Product of the Year in Orlando! It is a limited flight practice golf ball without limited feel. True feel with a long hang time, golf ball-like, trajectory! But it only flies 40 yards, so you have your own backyard driving range. Take a full swing. Draw it Fade it. Grab a buddy, get 40 yards apart and hit them back and forth. You wont believe the turbine sound created by the high rate of reverse spin. It’s very durable, in fact Pro Series Birdie Balls won’t break like perforated practice balls or wiffleballs.” Good Stuff for the golf junkie.

Peg and Diane are sending several custom designed Birdieball boxed in dozens to Ellen Degeneres this week. The custom balls commemorate several of the milestones the celebrity has reached this year. There are two Birdieball designs celebrating her appearance with Oprah on the Christmas magazine issue. There is a set of Birdieballs featuring pictures from her wedding. ( This week, Ellen and Portia were voted most popular couple of the year.) Two other sets round out the gift to the comedian: a set with some of the photos of Tony that Ellen loves to put up on the monitor, and a Birdieball that says, “Laugh, Dance, Birdieball.”
Get Promoted is offering Ellen a chance to use the Giant Birdieball Inflatable as one of her game possibilities. “We use it in the St. Louis area for non-profit fund-raisers and business team building. She could use it instead of the dunking booth for something different. “ The giant inflatable is available nationwide for rental. It has been featured as a prize up for bid on the “Price is Right” several times this winter. The St. Louis Golf Expo has just announced that the Birdieball Giant Inflatable Target and the Driving Range will be used at the brand new Golf Expo that will occur on January 22-24th ast the St. Charles Convention Center. Although there is a $10.00 admission charge, the Expo ticket will provide 22 green fees to each ticket holder and many chances to win prizes during the event.
The first 25 people who send a tweet to Ellen suggesting she use the Birdieball Giant Inflatable as one of her games will receive a FREE Birdieball. Get Promoted receives a notice every time Birdieball is mentioned on Twitter and will be able to contact the “Tweetor.”
Here is a SlideShow with the custom designs. Thanks, Ellen, for providing us with so much laughter this year…we really needed it!!

Birdieball Goes to the St. Louis All Star Game

Peg and Diane celebrated the All Star Games festivities in downtown St. Louis in July 2009 with their Birdieball Inflatable Golf Target at Al Hraboksy’s Saloon. It took eleven of us to man the booth for the Home Run Derby on Monday night and the All Star Game, Tuesday, July 14th. On short notice, nine of our friends took their precious time to come down and help us with this event. We are eternally grateful to: Ann Miller, Sherrill Wayland, Brooke, Samantha, Terry Locke, Alex Birmingham, Wendy Birmingham, Lori Schmoll, and Curt Brewer. These people gave up their time and worked tirelessly for nothing but a thank you. We are lucky in our friends.
