Imagine this: It’s Christmas and your Grandkids are scrambling to open all their presents at lightening speed. When they open your present, the melee’ screeches to a halt. It’s a wedding shower. The bride has received four crockpots and three mixers. (Yawn) Your gift? Matching honeymoon T-shirts brightly colored, one that reads, “Matt’s wife; the other reads, “Carrie’s husband.” Yeah, it’s another show stopper.

There’s a new project rollout at work. Get Promoted made a custom name tag for the project manager and a matching 12 x 16 plaque for the wall with the new project trademark. That image is repated on the neon colored ink pen that is given away at the networking event. Every promotional product at the trade show exhibit is useful and relevant to the new project theme. The display tablecloth has the new logo, the portable stand-up banners match, too. There is a crowd around the booth trying out the ten foot high inflatable golf game that Get Promoted sent to stir up a frenzy at the booth. The only down side? The buffet manager is having trouble getting people away from your booth to start dinner. Yeah, you gave them something to talk about.

Honoring Our Soldiers: Original Military Art on Coffee Mugs for Patriotic Celebrations

Patrick (Mac) McSweeney was a career Navy man. He lives now in the quiet town of Chenoa, Illinois, about one hour north of Springfield. In retirement, he cultivated an interest in colored pencil drawing. When he put his two passions together, drawing and honoring the military, a beautiful thing happened. He found that his art could elicit emotion, honor the soldiers, and raise funds, too.

The walls of the local Chenoa Family Restaurant just off Hwy 55 are full of his matted and framed art. He sells prints through his website at www.chiefmacink.com. Through a chance meeting, Get Promoted has started to collaborate with Mac, producing his original art work on mugs, plaques, t-shirts, and other items. To order prints from Mac, go to his website. Any of the artwork can have a personalization area for your favorite soldier.

“My graphics producer and I have committed $3.00 from each poster that is sold, and 15% from each post card that is sold to be collected and donated to Military Families in distress with wounded soldiers.

All of my drawings are hand-designed by me and produced in Central Illinois (Bloomington and Chenoa).
